Alex Colcord, M.A.
Alex Colcord is the Chief Technology Officer and Director of Content at Shape Up America! He brings over fifteen years of experience in content strategy and creation, writing, editing, web development, and management of several science-based websites.
Alex currently serves on the board of directors of Innovate Our World, an organization that is developing a high-school level program integrating science and the arts. Alex has previously worked for the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy and the Smithsonian Institution, as well as for several non-governmental organizations and academic institutions. He has served as conference director and coordinator for several events including the White House Forum on Science in the National Interest.
Alex holds a bachelor's degree in history from Boston University and a master's degree in international affairs from the George Washington University.
