Dr. Nailah Adams has a primary interest in the fight against childhood obesity. With a strong belief in a
life of service, Dr. Adams has been involved in several organizations, including the Cultural Academy for
Excellence, the Duke University School of Medicine Primary Care Leadership Track Advisory Group, and
the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP). In her final year of medical school, she served as the
AAFP National Family Medicine Interest Group Network Coordinator and on the AAFP Commission on
Education, Subcommittee on Resident and Student Issues, and Subcommittee on National Conference
Planning.
Dr. Adams is currently a Family Medicine resident at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL, with an academic goal of fellowships in Exercise Physiology, Sports Medicine and Childhood Obesity.
