Dr. Drewnowski is Professor of
Epidemiology, Adjunct
Professor of Internal Medicine, and Director of the Nutritional
Sciences Program at the University of Washington, Seattle. He
is a member of such professional organizations as the American
Society for Nutritional Sciences, American Psychological
Association, and the American Dietetic Association. Dr.
Drewnowski's research has dealt with the impact of taste and food
preferences on dietary choices and the overall quality of the
diet. He has examined factors leading to adolescent dieting
and eating disorders, and has published extensively on the role of
dietary factors, notably fat consumption, to the development of
obesity worldwide. He is the author of over 130 publications
and book chapters in the scientific literature.
