Dr. Mullis is currently Professor and Chair of the Department
of Nutrition and Laboratory Technologies, Georgia State University.
Previously, Dr. Mullis served as the Assistant Director for Program
Development in the Division of Nutrition at the Center for Disease
Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta. She has also been a
member of the graduate faculty at the University of Minnesota,
School of Public Health, and Divisions of Development and Nutrition,
and Epidemiology. She has served as a member of the Adult Treatment
Panel for the National Cholesterol Adult Education Program, the
National Nutrition Committee for the American Heart Association
and the Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee for the U.S. Department
of Agriculture/Department of Health and Human Services.
Active with several professional societies, Dr. Mullis is immediate past-President of the Society for Nutrition Education (where she serves on the Foundation's Board of Trustees) and a member of the American Dietetic Association (where she serves on the research committee and ADA position committee), American Public Health Association, and American Institute of Nutrition.
