Founded in 1994, Shape Up America! is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization committed to raising awareness of obesity as a health issue and to providing responsible information on healthy weight management.
Content Submission Guidelines
We want everyone to enjoy the use of our web site. Therefore we ask that you abide by our user submission guidelines as described below. By submitting content to our site, you are consenting to these guidelines.
- Any content submitted to Shape Up America! through our web site will be selected and reproduced at our discretion. We reserve the right to alter content for length, readability and/or appropriateness.
- Please do not submit graphics, sound files, or any other non-text media.
- Please do not provide content containing e-mail addresses, site URLs or links, or commercial messages of any kind. Any such items will be removed.
- Submission of content that is defamatory, obscene, and/or libelous will not be tolerated and will be removed. Likewise, any submitted content that discriminates on the basis of gender, age, religion, sexual preference, disability, race, class, ethnicity, or nationality, etc. will be not be allowed. Violation of any third party's right to privacy under any circumstances is strictly prohibited.
- Once you have submitted content, you are granting Shape Up America! perpetual, royalty-free, exclusive license to use, modify, publish, reproduce, or redistribute this content in any manner we choose, either currently existing or yet to be developed.
Changes to these guidelines
We may, at any time, decide to revise these guidelines. If these guidelines are changed, we will make them available at http://www.shapeup.org along with a change log describing the revisions.
