Keeping track of your percent body fat over time is a health maintenance strategy that can be very helpful and is highly recommended because it:

  • helps you maintain your body fat within the healthy range.
  • helps you make important health-related decisions. For example, if you see an increase in your percent body fat, you may decide to do something to lower it.
  • empowers and motivates! If you are working at decreasing your percent body fat, you can see the progress you are making towards your goal.
