Keeping track of your percent body fat over time is a health maintenance strategy that can be very helpful and is highly recommended because it:

helps you maintain your body fat within the healthy range.

helps you make important health-related decisions. For example, if you see an increase in your percent body fat, you may decide to do something to lower it.

empowers and motivates! If you are working at decreasing your percent body fat, you can see the progress you are making towards your goal.
