Issues and policies affecting the identification, treatment and prevention of obesity are extremely important to Shape Up America! Dr. Barbara Moore (president) and Dr. C. Everett Koop (founder) are frequently asked to develop documents conduct research, or provide testimony or participate in campaigns. This section contains information on some of these activities. Additionally, Shape Up America! has recently undertaken the research, development and review of a white paper on the treatment of severe obesity. This paper has been submitted for review and publication.
