The information provided in this section was collected by a Shape Up America! survey of the following commercial, non-clinical weight-loss programs: Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers International, Diet Workshop, The Solution and Shapedown. The survey was fielded in August and September 1996 and included all major non-clinical programs. However, only those programs listed responded to the survey. This information is provided for the convenience of those seeking a broad overview of these programs and who may wish to contact the companies for further information. Information was updated in January, 1997 by representatives of each of the companies listed in this appendix.
