Advanced Health Systems

• Approach/Method: Advanced Health Systems is a medically supervised, comprehensive program available through physicians. The program includes traditional foods and nutritional food products which are incorporated into easy-to-follow meal plans. Daily caloric intake ranges between 1000 and 1200 calories or it can be tailored to meet individualized needs. Advanced Health Systems is designed to work effectively with or without drug therapy. Emphasis is placed on helping you gain a greater understanding of the connection between good health and good nutrition, lifestyle modification and exercise via our easy-to-understand educational modules and the guidance of your physician.

• Clients: The Advanced Health Systems program has been uniquely designed to support the individual weight-loss goals of most patients.

• Staff: Advanced Health Systems program is a partnership between you and your doctor and their support teams to help you achieve and maintain your weight-loss goals.

• Expected Weight Loss/Length of Program: This varies with each individual. Patient’s average weight loss is one to two pounds per week.

• Cost: Program cost varies depending on the patients’ weight loss goal and medical conditions. The cost for Advanced Health Systems during weight loss is $15–$20 per week for program fees which includes medical monitoring and counseling. The cost of product per week ranges between $18–$25. As follow-up to the weight-loss phase, the Advanced Health Systems program provides six months of maintenance. Patients visit bi-weekly. Program fees are approximately $5–$10 per week. Products are optional depending on the need of the patient.

• Healthy Lifestyle Component: The Advanced Health Systems program and your physician will help you easily understand and modify the behaviors that contribute to being overweight. Program materials cover problem solving, exercise, and nutrition education.

• Comments: Being overweight increases your risk of serious health problems. Let your physician and Advanced Health Systems manage your weight and improve your health.
